A practice devoted to intellectual property rights in Iran
Iran IPR helps rights holders turn protected brands, works and technology into secure, well-managed assets in the Iranian market.
What we do, and what we do not.
We concentrate on the life of a right after it exists: ownership, licensing, transactions, transfer and defence.
Intellectual property work in Iran is often reduced to registration. Registration matters, but the questions that most affect a business usually come later. Can the right be licensed safely? Is it held by the correct entity? What is actually being acquired in a deal? How should the brand be protected on the marketplaces where customers shop?
Iran IPR was built around those questions. Our services cover IP rights strategy, copyright protection, licensing and franchising, due diligence and audits, technology transfer, and online brand protection including domain names.
We work with international companies entering Iran, businesses already active there through distributors or partners, and Iranian companies ready to license their own intellectual property.
How we work.
Commercial first
Every recommendation starts from how the right supports revenue, market position or a transaction. Protection for its own sake is rarely the best use of a budget.
Ownership is everything
We pay close attention to who holds each right and under which agreement. In our experience, that question decides more disputes than any other.
Plain English
Clients receive concise written advice that explains the options, the risks and our recommendation, without unnecessary legal language.
Confidential by default
Unpublished technology, licensing plans and transaction details are handled with strict confidentiality from the first contact.
